PRIVACY POLICY
We don't sell your personal data. This page says what ShowFuse collects, why, who touches it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account info you give us: email, display name, username, role (listener, artist, or venue), and date of birth (used only to confirm age).
- Content you post: profile fields, photos, artist clips, show chats, and direct messages.
- Activity in the app: swipes, follows, shows you mark as going or maybe, reminders, and reports. This is what makes Discover work.
- Location: city-level by default. Precise location only if you explicitly allow it, and only to find shows near you. You can pick a city manually instead.
- Device info: OS version, app build, and crash logs.
How we use it
To personalize Discover, surface nearby shows, deliver messages, prevent abuse, send essential service notifications, fix bugs, and build anonymized, aggregated trends about live-music demand. Aggregated data never identifies you.
What we never do
- Sell personal data
- Share precise location with advertisers
- Read your direct messages to train models
- Buy data from third parties to enrich your profile
Who else touches your data
Apple (device services and, if offered, subscriptions), Railway (API hosting, database, and media storage), Deezer (artist previews and catalog data), and ticket sellers such as Ticketmaster, AXS, Eventbrite, and DICE (show discovery and ticket links). Tapping a ticket link takes you to that seller; from there their privacy policy applies, not ours. Each provider handles data under its own policy.
Artist claims
When you claim an artist page at showfuseapp.com/claim, here's what we collect and why:
- Your email, to send you a code and our answer.
- Your birthday, only if we don't have it yet, to check you're 13 or older.
- Links you add (Instagram, TikTok, website) and your manager's or label's email, if you give them. Your links go on your page once it's approved.
- Proof screenshots. We keep them private. Only our two reviewers and the automatic check below see them, and we delete them 30 days after we decide on your claim.
- Instagram DM codes. If you DM your claim code to our Instagram account, we see the account that sent it and the message.
To help our two reviewers, an automatic check sends part of each claim or report to Anthropic, the company that makes the AI model Claude. Claude sees:
- The page's name, genres, fan count and Spotify and Deezer links, plus any links already on the page.
- The links you gave us.
- Your email's domain (the part after the @, like yourband.com), not your full address. The same for your manager's or label's email.
- Whether you say you sent the Instagram DM, and, once we've seen it, the Instagram account it came from.
- Your screenshot, if it's a JPEG or PNG.
- If you're reporting a page, the message you wrote.
Claude also searches the public web for the artist's official website and socials. We don't send it your full email address or your birthday. It writes notes for our reviewers and never decides anything by itself: it can't approve or turn down a claim, and its notes don't change which claims we look at first. Anthropic handles that data under its own terms. Only a ShowFuse co-founder can approve a claim, by hand. An invite we send you counts as that approval. To check a band email, we also look up when its domain was registered, in public records. We keep a record of each claim and decision so we can protect the page later.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Delete Account in Settings removes your account and its data immediately. Written requests to info@showfuseapp.com get a response within 30 days. Residents of California, the EU and UK, and other applicable jurisdictions have additional statutory rights, which we honor.
Retention
Account data stays until you delete it. Crash logs are kept 90 days. Anonymized aggregate data may be kept indefinitely.
Children
ShowFuse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Accounts must confirm a date of birth at signup.
Changes
We'll announce material changes in the app or by email. The effective date at the top tells you when this page last changed.
